Job Title:  Intramural Sports Supervisor (Filled)

Purpose:  To manage intramural sport activities, participants and employees on-site.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills and positive attitude.
  • Previous experience preferred but not necessary.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certification.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, evaluate, and assist with training of Intramural Sports Officials.
  • Serve as a mentor and teacher to officials.
  • Complete office assignments as distributed by the Graduate Assistant and/or Coordinator.
  • Represent the Office of Campus Recreation in an exemplary manner.

Overall Requirements:

  • Attend all staff training sessions and meetings.
  • Attend and assist with all officials training sessions.
  • Arrive to work early and stay for entire shift.
  • Be knowledgeable of Intramural Sports policies and procedures.
  • Settle protest, arguments, and problems on-site as much as possible.
  • Communicate and consistently enforce university, departmental, and intramural sports policy/procedures.
  • Current UALR student

Salary:  Starting pay is at $10.00/hr, Work Study or Non-Work Study

Deadline:  Seasonal/Part-Time


Job Title:  Intramural Sports Official (Open Spring 2015)

Purpose:  To ensure that Intramural Sport contests are played fairly and safely.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Positive Attitude.
  • Fair and unbiased.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage Intramural Sports Contests.
  • Attend clinics and meetings designated for each sport.
  • Ensure safety of participants during Intramural Sport contests.
  • Represent the Office of Campus Recreation in an exemplary manner.

Overall Requirements:

  • Current UALR student.
  • Ability to be taught rules to specific sports.
  • Ability to work as a team.

Salary:  Starting pay is at $8.00/hr, Work Study or Non-Work Study

Deadline:  Seasonal/Part-Time


Job Title:  Intramural Sports Scorekeeper (Filled)

Purpose:  To ensure that Intramural Sport contests are played fairly and safely.

Job Title:  Campus Recreation Event Assistant (Filled)

Purpose:  To help promote and market the Office of Campus Recreation.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills and positive attitude.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Self-motivated and able to achieve tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Set Up information tables at various campus events.
  • Promote Campus Recreation at various campus events.
  • Complete office assignments as distributed by the professional staff.
  • Represent the Office of Campus Recreation in an exemplary manner.
  • Other duties assigned.

Overall Requirements:

  • Must be knowledgeable and promote every area of Campus Recreation
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work as a team.
  • Communicate and consistently enforce university, departmental, and campus recreation policy/procedures.
  • Current UALR student

Salary:  Starting pay is at $7.25/hr, Work Study or Non-Work Study

Deadline:  Seasonal/Part-Time


Job Title:  Fit/Well Group Fitness Instructor (Filled)

Purpose:  To lead and instruct group fitness classes in a fun and safe environment.

Qualifications:

  • Current Fitness Certification
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Exercise Science degrees considered

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Instruction of fitness classes, including set up and removal of equipment.
  • Attendance of monthly staff meetings.
  • Other duties as required.

Overall Requirements:

  • Fitness certification from national-level certifying body, NCCA-recognized preferred.
  • Instruction of fitness classes within safety guidelines.
  • Ability to build rapport with students, staff, faculty, and guests.
  • Maintenance of safe, enjoyable environment for participants
  • Represent UALR Fit/Well in an exemplary and professional manner
  • UALR students preferred, but not required
  • Experience preferred, but will train

Salary:  Starting pay is at $20 per hourly class for fully certified individuals, training pay varies
