GINGER ABERNATHY, PROGRAM ASSISTANT
Ginger received a BS in Marketing and Management from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, AR in 1985. From 1985-1995, she was a Senior Merchandise Manager for JCPenney, Inc. During her JCPenney career, she was a Store Merchandise Purchaser in several stores in Texas and one in New Mexico. While at JCPenney, she was awarded District Merchandiser of the Month on several occasions, the Top Children’s Geographic Store Merchandiser for the company’s Back-to-School Contest in 1998, winner of the annual 1992 February Merchants Contest. From 1995-2012, she was a stay-at-home wife and mom, working part time in the Communications Department at her church and later substitute teaching at her daughter’s elementary schools. In July 2012, Ginger was employed by Bryant School District as the Gifted and Talented Administrative Assistant. August 2014, she joined AR AIMS as the Program Assistant. She is married to Robert Abernathy and has one daughter, Annalise, who is attending LA Tech in Ruston
