Diversity and Inclusion Plan

The UALR mission includes a focus on promoting “humane sensitivities and understanding of interdependence” and the health of our university will depend on our ability to see this to fruition.

Diversity and Inclusion Plan: An initiative focused on “building a positive and welcoming culture for everyone who comes to campus–whether they work, live, or learn here.”

Desired Outcomes

  1. Improved perceptions of inclusiveness as measured by faculty and staff, and student surveys .
  2. Increased persistence and graduation rates of students of color as compared to cohorts previous to implementation of strategies developed as part of the plan.
  3. Increase and maintain a Hispanic/Latino student population that is representative of the population of Central Arkansas.
  4. Successfully retain and graduate a greater number of students.
