Art
Our art program offers two undergraduate degrees: a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Students in the BA program will choose from three concentrations: Studio Art, Art Education, or Art History. Studio Art offers a general course of study in studio art and applied design. Art Education is designed to provide a strong studio and art history background, while fulfilling the requirements for Arkansas licensure for the Art K-8 and Art 7-12 teaching areas. The Art History track offers a comprehensive study of art history.
The BFA is a professional degree in studio art for students who want to become working artists in their chosen fields. It provides a broad range of art making opportunities while focusing on a singular emphasis to build professional skills. BFA students will develop the skills, historical knowledge, conceptual understanding, and the sense of visual awareness needed to become a professional working artist.
