“Demystifying Academic Book Publishing” with Dr. Lisa Corrigan

Join Dr. Lisa Corrigan, award-winning author, for a presentation about the ins and outs of academic book publishing. Dr. Lisa Corrigan, Professor of Communication and Director of the Gender Studies Program at the University of Arkansas, has published two books with the University Press of Mississippi: Black Feelings: Race and Affect in the Long Sixties (2020) and Prison Power: How Prison Influenced the Movement for Black Liberation (2016), Winner of the 2017 Diamond Anniversary Book Award and the African American Communication and Culture Division’s 2017 Outstanding Book Award, both from the National Communication Association.
