ATLE co-sponsored event: How to Design Your Course to Communicate a Growth Mindset

October 7, 2022 at 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Dr. Canning headshotThe syllabus is often the first point of contact with new students and offers an opportunity to set the tone for your course. Join Dr. Elizabeth Canning for this interactive workshop, organized by the STEM Education Center and co-sponsored by ATLE, where we will discuss different ways to incorporate growth mindset language, practices, and policies into your course. We will work in small groups to identify and customize key components of your course that can help cultivate a growth mindset culture. Workshop attendees are encouraged to bring along a syllabus to revise and annotate during the session.

Lunch will be provided in LIB 535 for those who attend in person.

After completing the RSVP form (sent by email the week before), you will receive an email with the Zoom link and passcode (if you chose online participation). You will also receive a reminder email with the Zoom link and passcode on the morning of the Lunch and Seminar.  Those registering to attend in person for the event should go to room 535 in the library.

All faculty are encouraged and invited to attend. This event will earn you 10 points toward your next ATLE award.
