STEM the flow: Increasing Student Retention with UA Little Rock’s Learning Assistants

Come and learn how to increase engagement and learning in your STEM classroom utilizing UA Little Rock’s new learning assistant (LA) program. LAs are peer mentors that are trained in how people learn, to help you implement evidence-based practices like group work in your classroom. Attendees will learn about the LA model, evidence supporting the infusion of LAs into STEM courses, LA best practices, and next steps to implementing LAs in your STEM course.
All faculty are encouraged and invited to attend. This event will earn you 10 points toward your next ATLE award.
