Mechanical Engineering Technology teaches you about the application of engineering principles and technological developments for the creation of useful products and production machinery. UA Little Rock offers both an associate’s and bachelor’s degree.
The Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology (ETME) provides students with a greater depth and breadth of knowledge in the technical field, and more courses are included in the areas of mathematics, writing, and social science. Students will choose a technical elective to meet their interests and career objectives. The B.S. prepares graduates for entry level professional positions in industry or for graduate studies. This degree is accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET.
We also offer an Associate of Engineering Technology (A.E.T.) in Mechanical Engineering Technology. This program requires two years of study (62 hours) and prepares students for careers in both mechanical and manufacturing fields. Graduates can apply credit towards the B.S. degree in mechanical engineering technology. This degree is accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET.
