Lewermark has updated their insurance coverage for the 2014 – 2015 year. In addition to accident and illness coverage, the plan now includes yearly wellness visits, coverage of pre-existing conditions, no deductible, coverage for preventable care, no maximum on what the insurance coverage will provide, and a 24/7 counseling service. This extra service is called Student Assist and even includes legal counseling and travel assistance.
Please be aware of the new rates for the 2014 -2015 academic year. Each semester, $755 will be charged to your student account to keep you enrolled in the Lewermark insurance policy. Rates for children and a spouse can be found at https://ualr.edu/international/insurancerates/.
The increase in your premium this year is in response to increased coverage required by the federal Affordable Care Act.
