Eleven members of the IT Services department, along with a large crowd of IT professionals from Arkansas and beyond, attended the 2019 Arkansas IT Symposium at the Embassy Suites in Little Rock on April 3.
The Arkansas IT Symposium is the region’s premier single-day event designed for the IT leadership community.
This annual event is sponsored by many local and national companies including Standard Business Machines (SBS), CDW, TANIUM, TELECOMP, Box, INFO-TECH, ServiceNow, AMITECH, and others. The keynote and sponsored session speakers, who are experts in their fields, delivered excellent presentations on important IT topics that encompassed cyber crime, data ethics, network security, blockchain fundamentals, and the cloud environment.
As stated by the conference planning committee: ‘It is our goal to create an event that provides an unprecedented opportunity for our region’s IT leadership to gather and explore new ways to maintain a competitive advantage in a global economy and allow collaboration across the region’s Information Technology population. Additionally, it is the goal of the conference committee to create an event which celebrates Information Technology’s achievement and innovation taking place all around us in the corporate, government, and academia sector.’
This goal was clearly achieved as evidenced by the enthusiastic participation and positive reaction of the attendees at this unique conference.
