Scottish Rite Masons Donate $23,850 for UALR Literacy and Language Center
Officials of the Scottish Rite Masons delivered a check for $23,850 to UALR on Monday to support the University’s Beth B. Eaton Literacy and Language Center, a part of UALR’s Audiology and Speech Pathology Department.
Eaton, a former director of the language center, created the program that helps children with language and speech disabilities, a cause that is the forefront of the Scottish Rite Mason’s mission.
Members of the organization, including Dwane Treat, Herman Ray, James Younts, and Robert Spangler, toured UALR’s newly renovated speech clinic prior to a luncheon hosted by Chancellor Joel E. Anderson, Development Director Bob Denman, and Corporate and Foundation Officer Laurie Ann Ross. Others attending included Dr. Tom Guyette, chair of the audiology and speech pathology department; Terri Hutton, clinic director, and speech pathologist Greg Robinson.
