CyberStudent Lands $10,000 Carrier Scholarship
David Yarborough, a junior in the Systems Engineering Department of UALR’s College of Information Science and Systems Engineering, has been awarded a $10,000 Willis H. Carrier Scholarship for the 2007-08 academic year by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
The scholarship is in memory of the corporation’s founder.
The ASHRAE Scholarship Program is designed to encourage and assist in the education of men and women pursuing a career in the field of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC&R) through its granting of scholarships and fellowships. The program also serves the public interest by aiding in the education of men and women to become qualified to practice as engineers in the field.
A graduate of Camden-Fairview High School, Yarborough lives in Alexander.
