Finale Honors Arts Patrons Lewis and Debbie May

UALR will present the third annual Finale, a black-tie event celebrating the arts in central Arkansas, at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 26, in the Jack Stephens Center. This year, the gala, will honor arts patrons Debbie and Lewis May of Little Rock.

During the evening, the Mays will receive Finale’s annual Bringing the Arts Together Award. Previous recipients include Cindy and Chip Murphy and Donna and David Cone.

Tickets to the black-tie event are $125 ($85 tax deductible) per person, with proceeds benefiting the Friends of the Arts Endowment Fund that provides UALR scholarships for fine arts students and support for UALR arts-related activities. For information about reservations, call 501.569.3296.

Rosemary Arnold, a well known arts philanthropist and member of UALR Friends of the Arts, and Jay Raphael, chair of the UALR Theatre Arts and Dance Department, are co-chairs of the 2008 event. Media personality and KTHV sports director Craig O’Neill will emcee the evening’s activities.

During the evening, UALR students will be featured in a cabaret-style performance. Guests will also enjoy an art gallery displaying student artwork specially built for the event in the Center’s rotunda.
