Members of the Friends of KLRE/KUAR will gather for their yearly meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, at UALR’s Jack Stephens Center – a new venue for the annual event – at 28th Street and University Avenue.

In addition to a reception sponsored by RSVP Catering, Colonial Wine & Spirits, and Clear Mountain Spring Water, General Manager Ben Fry will present the stations’ annual report which includes an introduction of the Friends of KLRE/KUAR board.

The agenda also includes the announcement of the 2008 winner of the Beverly Ann Lacefield Award for Outstanding Service, which recognizes our dedicated public radio volunteers.
