Dr. Jocelyn Elders, former Surgeon General and one-time director of the Arkansas Department of Health, is the keynote speaker at noon Monday, Dec. 1, at UALR’s Fourth Annual HIV/AIDS Prevention Awareness Conference in the Donaghey Student Center Room B.

The theme of the conference is “Building Community Coalitions to Fight HIV/AIDS. The 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. conference will include free and confidential HIV testing.

The conference is sponsored by Future Buildings Inc., Arkansas Department of Health, Mu Kappa Chapter of Delta Signma Theta, the Kappa Psi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha, and the UALR Department of Science.
