Tune in Tonight for ‘It’s Time for UALR’
Television viewers around the state will get an inside look at UALR at 7 p.m. tonight on KATV, Channel 7. “It’s Time for UALR” is a 30-minute special program produced by KATV that explores UALR’s metropolitan experience.
“UALR is excited about this opportunity to share our metropolitan mission with KATV’s statewide audience,” said Kim Ross Fox, assistant director of communications. “The University has grown tremendously over the past years – new academic programs, new campus housing, the wonderful Jack Stephens Center for basketball and other events – and the program showcases our success with potential students and the people of Arkansas.”
The program is hosted by UALR students Rebecca Champion, a senior mass communications major, and Sean Porter, a senior liberal arts major. These two talented students are representative of the 12,000 students who have all benefited from the added value of learning on a metropolitan campus like UALR. They will take viewers on a campus tour, showcase cutting edge research and academics, profile successful students and alumni, and show how UALR is helping boost the state’s economy through community partnerships.
