State Geologist Discusses Arkansas’ Earthquake Issues Thursday

Erica Doerr, a geologist with the Arkansas Geological Survey, will present a lecture addressing earthquake issues in Arkansas at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19 in Fribourgh Hall Room 101. The lecture, “Geohazards Division: Addressing Earthquake-Related Issues in the State of Arkansas,” is free and open to the public.

Doerr earned a bachelor’s degree in earth science with a minor in anthropology from Central Missouri University in Warrensburg and a master’s in geology from University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She is currently assisting Scott Ausbrooks with earthquake related projects in the Geological Survey’s geohazards division.
