The UALR Construction Management Department’s Commercial Building Division Student Competition Team took second in last week’s Commercial Construction Student Competition hosted by the Associated Schools of Construction and TEXO Center, the office complex for the Dallas and Fort Worth Associated General Contractors (AGC) and the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC).

“They missed first place by half a point, but considering this was only the second year that UALR has competed in this division, they were exceptional,” said Associate Professor Mike Tramel. Oklahoma State University won the competition. Texas A&M University finished third.

Other schools participating were John Brown University, Louisiana State University, University of Oklahoma, Texas Tech University, University of Louisiana-Monroe, University of North Texas, and University of Oklahoma.
