Oil, Gas Reserves Are Topic of Geology Lecture

Chris Schenk, project chief with the U.S. Geological Survey in Denver will present a public lecture, “The Role of Geology in USGS Oil and Gas Assessments” at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 2, in Fribourgh Hall Room 101.

Schenk is a national leader in the effort to estimate national and international petroleum resources.

The lecture is sponsored by UALR’s Department of Earth Sciences and the University’s Geology Club. The lecture is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be served.
