Dr. Judith Hayn, assistant professor in the Department of Teacher Education, and Rene Carson, licensure officer in the College of Education, have been named by National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) to the organization’s Board of Program Reviewers.

Hayn is a lead reviewer for the National Council of Teachers of English, and Carson is a lead reviewer for the National Science Teachers Association. They are responsible for assessing the reports from other universities across the country as the universities prepare for their NCATE accreditation.

The members of the Board of Program Reviewers are recognized as experts in their content areas and work closely with the  organizations they represent. Hayn and Carson will each serve three-year terms.
