UALR art students are showing their work in the Annual Student Competitive in Gallery I in the Fine Arts Building through May 5.

The exhibition features artwork being created by students working in the art studios at UALR. This year 284 works were submitted for review by 96 students. This year’s independent juror, Dave Anderson, curated an exhibition featuring 71 works of art.

Local businesses donate awards, UALR Friends of the Arts provides funds to purchase work for the permanent collection, and some scholarship monies are awarded.

To see the art, visit the UALR Gallery from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, and from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. The Gallery is closed for University holidays.
