Theater Professor Organizes Amputee Golf Tourney
Assistant Professor Bill Marshall in UALR’s Theatre Arts and Dance Department was an athlete 22 years ago when he lost a leg in a motorcycle accident. Now, Marshall – who offers golf clinics to help amputees get on the links – is organizing the inaugural Amputee Golf Tournament at Rebsamen Golf Course on May 8.
Marshall is seeking players and sponsors to participate in the tournament that will mix able-bodied and amputee golfers for a celebration of recovery, community, food, and golf.
Tournament proceeds will support Little Rock Amputee Golf Tournament and the National Amputee Golf Association Scholarship Fund for amputee members.
Players of all levels are welcome. Contact Bill Marshall at 366.6891. Registration forms can be found at the tournament’s website.
