Arkansas Flyer Returns Thursday
The “Arkansas Flyer” returns to UALR’s University Theatre at 7 p.m. May 21 to celebrate Arkansas Heritage Month with its third incarnation.
The live variety show, produced by KUAR FM 89, celebrates Arkansas culture, music, and humor. Featured performers will be Amy Garland and Kevin Kerby, the “Arkansas Flyer” unofficial house band, Billy Jones Bluez, and the Invisible Radio Theater. Veteran radio personality and musician David B. Treadway returns as host.
A reception will kick off the event at 6:30 p.m. in the lobby of University Theater. The show will be recorded live at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on FM 89 at 7 p.m. May 28. Tickets are $10, $5 for UALR students, free for ages 12 and younger, and are available the UALR Public Radio studios and at the door.
