Dr. Robert Ulmer, associate professor and chair of the UALR Department of Speech Communication, will present a program on crisis communication at a July meeting of the Public Relations Society of America’s Arkansas chapter.

Ulmer will speak at the noon Friday, July 17, PRSA meeting at the Little Rock Club. His talk will  help participants re-conceptualize how they view crises, address misconceptions about crisis communication and provide a framework for communicating more effectively.

A native of Canada who received his Ph.D. in communications from Wayne State University in Detroit, Ulmer is co-author of four books on risk management and crisis communication.
