Marie Sandusky, a certified family nurse practitioner and an advanced practice nurse (APN) with prescriptive authority, is UALR’s new director of Health Services.

She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing and a master’s degree in public health. She has more than 25 years of experience in the field of nursing. Sanduscky has held positions as an APN, as a clinic coordinator, and as a clinical instructor of nursing both at Emory University and with UAMS. In addition, she has served as the coordinator of adolescent health with the Arkansas Department of Health.

For the past 15 months, she has been working as an APN with UALR and has been assistant director of Heath Services since October 1998.
