Dean John DiPippa will hold his first State of the School forum at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 24 in Room 323 of  UALR’s  William H. Bowen School of Law. In addition to the live audience of students, faculty, and staff, DiPippa’s address and discussion will be broadcast live on Ustream (http://www.ustream.tv/channel/ualr-bowen-state-of-the-school-address).

Those interested in viewing the presentation online can log onto Ustream as long as they have access to a computer and an Internet connection. People with Ustream accounts will have the opportunity to comment and ask questions in real-time, but anyone can view the presentation without setting up an account.

DiPippa will talk about the school’s plans for the 2009-2010 academic year. The law school will go through the American Bar Association accreditation review in 2010 and complete a review of the curriculum. In addition, strategic plans include greater promotion of Bowen’s faculty, student, and alumni achievements.

“I am excited about broadcasting this address over the internet. Not only will it allow our alumni and students who cannot be here in person to hear the speech but it will also allow them to participate in our discussions.” DiPippa said. “I hope this will become an annual event and allow the extended law school community the opportunity to give us some ideas about the future of the Bowen School of Law.”
