Registration is open for non-credit classes in Arabic at UALR for the campus and the community. Classes will be held from Jan. 18 to April 29. The fee is $100.

Classes are one hour and 15 minutes twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a total of 35 in class hours per course.

Dr. Krista Lewis, assistant professor of anthropology and Middle East studies, said two sections of beginner’s Arabic will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays: from 9:25 to 10:40 a.m. and from 12:45 to 1:30 p.m.

Beginning to intermediate Arabic will be offered from 1:40 to 3 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

“Students also should plan for time outside class for homework, review and preparation.  No classes during spring break, March 22-26,” Lewis said.
