Law Students Present Neighborhood Service Learning Plans
Three students from the William H. Bowen School of Law will present their service-learning projects at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 26, at the Bailey Alumni Center on the main UALR campus.
Professor Lynn Foster, Adjunct Professor Cliff McKinney, and Professor Paula Casey offered the service-learning course, Neighborhood Development, this semester.
Seven students worked on several projects with the University District Development Corporation. Service learning is a teaching and learning strategy that integrates meaningful community service with instruction and reflection to enrich the learning experience, teach civic responsibility, and strengthen communities. It is a hallmark of metropolitan universities.
