Schuh Becomes President of the Alumni Board

Scott Schuh, a 1977 UALR graduate, began his term July 1 as the new president of the UALR Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Schuh, president of LSC Marketing Inc. of Little Rock, has served on the alumni board for two years. Scott Gordon, executive vice president at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, began his term as vice president of the board. Gordon also graduated from UALR in 1977 and co-chaired the 2007 Taste of Germany to support the Alumni Scholarship Fund.

Don Riggin, principal of Riggin & Associates, is now chairing the Membership Committee. Rebecca Ward is the new chair of the Alumni Association’s Fundraising Committee. Ward, who received a master’s degree in social work from UALR, is a licensed clinical social worker in the area of general psychotherapy and is in private practice with Dr. Howard Turney, director of UALR’s School of Social Work.

Joy Matlock, a 1996 UALR graduate and human resources manager at Heifer International, began her service as chair of the Communications Committee and Lee Johnson, a retired CPA and retailer, is serving as Scholarship Committee chair.

Members of the association joining the Alumni Board of Directors this year include Mary Cantrell, director of the Center for Clinical Skills Education and Standardized Patient Program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and director of the Pediatric Understanding and Learning through Simulation Education Center at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, and Paul Nolte of Little Rock, owner of Election Consulting Corp.
