Nano Center Honors High School Researchers
High school students who have tasted the thrill of scientific research and discovery as part of the Nanotechnology Center at UALR have been invited to a Nanotechnology Academy Graduation celebration from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, at the Bailey Alumni Center as part of UALR’s Nanotechnology Academy Mentorship.
The center’s outreach program allows high school students to work with UALR scientists involved in nanotechnology-based research.
The students will have an opportunity to discuss what they learned at the center and describe their scientific research. Each student will receive a lab coat in recognition of their participation prior to concluding remarks by Dr. Alex Biris, chief scientist at the Nanotechnology Center.
