Jones to Coordinate Programs Abroad
Aimee Jones, whose experience abroad began when she was 14 living with a Swiss family, has joined UALR as programs abroad coordinator in the Office of International Services. Jones, of Boone, N.C., also has studied abroad in Sydney, Australia, and has independently traveled in various countries.
Her love of travel prompted Jones to earn an M.A. degree in higher education administration from Appalachian State University. There, she interned in the Office of International Education and Development. She also worked as a residence director in non-traditional and international campus housing, deepening her commitment and passion for international education.
“Aimee hopes to share her enthusiasm for studying abroad with UALR students and to see the number of our students who take advantage of various international opportunities continue to grow,” said Dr. Jerry Stevenson, associate vice chancellor of academic affairs. ”UALR currently has partnerships and exchange agreements with 23 foreign universities in 15 different countries.”
