UALR’s Alumni Association is offering a no-cost membership for alums between jobs or facing economic difficulty. The membership is valued at $30.

“In these times, more and more alumni are looking to us for help getting a leg up and a foot in the door,” said Christian O’Neal, ’01, executive director of the UALR Alumni Association. “We know and listen to our alumni members and do not want to miss their participation, including those who live outside of Arkansas.”

To better serve its members, the Alumni Association has expanded its benefits to include those that alumni need most now. These include resume help and mock interviews with notable alumni in person or via the Internet and personal and professional networking through popular alumni events like pre-game rallies and the March 17 “Taste of New Orleans” party and fundraiser. In addition, the association is highlighting ways that employed alumni can help others in the UALR alumni network by volunteering as career mentors and posting jobs at their companies.

“This special offer and these benefits underscore the importance the UALR Alumni Association places on lifelong engagement with your alma mater,” said Linda Martin ‘81, alumni membership coordinator. “Your membership keeps you connected to growth occurring at UALR.”
