Sneak Preview of Gossett Film Set for Jan. 13

The Nehemiah Network, hosted by the African American Male Initiative student group at UALR, will host a pre-screening of the film “The Grace Card” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, in the auditorium of UALR’s Engineering and Information Technology Building. The screening is free and open to the public.

Starring Lewis Gossett Jr., the movie will be released nationally to the public on Feb. 25. The faith-based film is a gritty drama poignantly illustrating the everyday opportunities individuals have to rebuild relationships and heal deep wounds.

“The movie is part of the faith-based segment of Sony Films and was written and filmed in Memphis,” said Charlie Conklin, executive director of the Nehemiah Group.

A small group of local church and community leaders saw the pre-screening of the film in September and was so impressed about its potential influence on the Central Arkansas community that they decided to bring a screening to Little Rock.
