UALR Trojan men’s basketball standout and Los Angeles Laker Derek Fisher added to the UALR Foundation’s coffers last week when he and teammate Shannon Brown won $75,000 on the hit NBC game show, “Minute to Win It.”

The two split the winnings 50-50, with Fisher’s winnings going to the UALR Foundation to support the Fisher Fellows Program for Trojan athletes.

Bob Denman, UALR’s executive director of development, said 3,310,000 viewers watched the show nationally. UALR added to the value of the exposure by running a previously produced television ad for UALR’s capital campaign, “It’s Time for UALR,” featuring Fisher on the Jack Stephens Center’s Fisher Court.
