Gov. Mike Beebe has appointed Vernard Henley, director of  recruitment and outreach in UALR’s Donaghey College of Engineering and Information Technology, to the Arkansas Service Commission.

The commission is designed to improve communities in Arkansas through service and volunteering. The commission oversees Arkansas’s participation in AmericaCorp and other volunteer programs.
