German Club Presents Embassy Official
Dr. Hans-Ulrich von Schroeter, deputy director of the German Information Center in the German Embassy in Washington, will deliver an interactive lecture on the Berlin Republic, titled “Immigration, Integration, and the New Germany.”
The lecture, hosted by the UALR German Club, is part of the UALR Do Deutsch Campus Weeks and will be at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, in Stabler Hall Room 304.

Born in Saarlouis, Germany, von Schroeter served as an officer in the German Military Police from 1986 to 1987. He attended Universities in Trier, Nancy, and Lisbon before receiving his Doctorate of Law at the University at Osnabrück, Germany.
After joining the German Foreign Service in 1996, he has served at different posts with increasing responsibilities in Bonn; Sao Paulo, Brazil; Luanda, Angola; and Berlin. He has served in his present post since July 2009 providing an English language “window on the world” of Germany through the German Information Center (GIC).
