LITTLE ROCK – The UALR men’s basketball team (10-13, 7-2 Sun Belt) defeated the Denver Pioneers 64-57 on Saturday night at the Jack Stephens Center to claim sole possession of first place in the West Division standings. The Pioneers (16-6, 6-3) entered the game ranked 12th nationally in three-point shooting at 40.5 percent, but made just 6-of-20 attempts from beyond the arc (30.0 pct.) and committed 17 turnovers to UALR’s eight.
