UALR Will Hire Firm to Continue Provost Search
Chancellor Joel E. Anderson has announced that the university will resume its search for a new provost with the assistance of a national search firm.
The search began last fall and was led by a committee of representatives from the university and the community. Three candidates were selected as finalists for the position, and after face-to-face interviews were conducted in January, no candidate was selected. Dr. Sandra L. Robertson will continue in the role of interim provost until the position is filled.
Funding for the search firm will be provided by a grant from the George W. Donaghey Foundation Board. The goal is to have a new provost in office by the fall semester. The UALR provost leads six colleges, the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law, and the Graduate School.
