Piano Duet Gives Free Performance April 7

The UALR Music Department will present Tatiana Roitman and Kristina Marinova in a Duo Arete Faculty Piano Recital at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 7, in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall in the UALR Fine Arts Building.

Roitman holds graduate degrees from the Royal Academy of Music in London, England, the Manhattan School of Music in New York City, and the University of Minnesota.

While a Rockefeller Fellow at the Tanglewood Music Festival, she played in masterclasses of Yo-Yo Ma, James Levine, Claude Frank, and others. She has performed as a soloist and recitalist in North America, Europe, and Australia.

Marinova, a native of Bulgaria, received her bachelor of music degree in piano performance from the University of Central Arkansas and her master’s degree in piano performance from the University of Michigan.

Marinova has participated in several major festivals and is a winner of international piano competitions. She is the collaborative pianist and coach for the UALR Concert Choir, Community Chorus, and Opera Theatre.
