Spring graduation 2012 is in the books! It was a day full of excitement and emotion for students, their families and friends, and university officials.

We could share so many stories from the big day (and will try to do that in the coming weeks), but first we wanted to share even more photos. We’ve already posted hundreds of photos to our Facebook and Flickr galleries, garnering a steady stream of comments and tags.

Still, that wasn’t enough. So we put together a special gallery we are calling “Best Foot Forward.”

The gallery is of UALR students preparing to take their next big step. What better way to illustrate that than to show some of the stylish shoes we saw at commencement?

What we learned from the wide variety is that UALR students know how to put their best foot forward, whether it was donning an espadrille or spiky heel. In a sea of black and red robes, many students found a way to stand out from head to toe (there were some great mortarboard decorations as well).
