Debate Party to Collect Real-Time Reaction
Students and faculty of UALR’s Department of Political Science invite the public to join them to watch tonight’s presidential debate and participate in a real-time reaction response project.
The event is sponsored by UALR’s Presidential Studies Program. It will be held at the U.S. Pizza near campus at 3307 Fair Park Blvd.
Dr. Rebecca Glazer and colleagues have developed a smart phone web application, React Labs: Educate, to collect data for analyzing the political effects of political rhetoric on citizen attitudes.
“Plus, we think the app will help engage people – especially students – in the debates and the election more broadly,” she said.
The app is geared to run on smartphones, but those without them can participate by accessing the online app using computers.
