Prospective Students to Discover UALR Friday

UALR will welcome hundreds of high school juniors and seniors as well as their parents Friday, Oct. 19, for a day of exploring UALR’s programs, facilities, and campus life.

“This is a chance for prospective students and parents to visit our beautiful campus and discover our rigorous academic programs and exciting campus life,” said Katie Young, interim director of recruitment.

The day will begin at the Jack Stephens Center with a welcome from UALR alumni Georgia and Dominik Mjartan, both graduates of UALR’s Donaghey Scholars honors program.

The high school students and their parents will also have a chance to browse the information fair to learn about academic programs and departments, as well as organizations and services.

The visitors then can explore the campus and visit academic departments, which will be highlighted in concurrent sessions throughout the day.

Those visitors with iPhones are encouraged to download UALR’s free app and access news about UALR and an interactive map of the campus.

The day will conclude with tours of the campus.
