Chancellor to Receive Leadership Award

UALR Chancellor Joel E. Anderson will receive the 2012 Leadership Award on Nov. 7 at the eighth annual Friendship and Dialog Dinner sponsored by the Institute for Interfaith Dialog. The dinner will be at 6:30 p.m. at the Clinton Presidential Library.
Tom Navin, director of social action and prison ministry for the Catholic Diocese of Little Rock, will receive the association’s Community Service Award. Pam Baccam, reporter and anchor for KTHV-TV, will receive the Civic Courage Award.

Metin Cetiner, vice president of Turkey’s largest non-governmental aid organization currently involved in Syrian refugee camps in the southeastern region of the country, will deliver the keynote speech, “Human Crisis: Reaching out to Victims of International Violence, Syrian Refugees in Turkey.”
