Bowen School to Hold ‘Miss Representation’ Screening

The Student Chapter of the Arkansas Association of Women Lawyers, the UALR Bowen Alumni Association, and the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas are sponsoring a screening of “Miss Representation” on Monday, Feb. 25.

The documentary will be shown in the Friday Courtroom at the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law at 1201 McMath Ave.

Miss Representation” addresses how mainstream media contribute to the under-representation of women in positions of power and influence in America. The film challenges the media’s portrayals of women and girls, which make it difficult for women to achieve leadership positions and for the average woman to feel powerful.

The film is free to the public. Snacks will be served during the event.
