After 13 consecutive wins this season, the Trojan women reached the finals of the Sun Belt Conference tournament in Hot Springs on Monday, March 11.

Despite maintaining a lead for most of the game against Middle Tennessee, UALR lost 53-48. This was the fourth meeting in five seasons for the Trojans and Blue Raiders in the postseason.

The Trojans were the Sun Belt champs in 2011 and 2012 and have played in the finals for five consecutive years.

The team is now guaranteed to play in the Women’s National Invitational Tournament (WNIT). Selections for the tournament will be announced Monday, March 18.
