What You Need to Know for Spring Break

Spring break, while off to a soggy start, is typically a time to unwind for students and faculty alike. But it can also be a time to play catch-up, get organized, and prepare for that final push before the end of the semester. May will be here before you know it!

If you are around campus this week, here’s what you need to know:

Campus is open every day this week, except for Friday, March 22.

East and West halls are closed for those students who didn’t sign up to stay this week. Commons Apartments, as well as University Village, remain open. Diamond Cafe and other dining options will be closed for the week. There will be a welcome back dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 24, at the Diamond Cafe.

Library Hours:

And just in case you were curious, here’s what a few people on campus are doing this week:

I’m going to be working: Grading, putting together a new course proposal, working on proofs for an article, revising the NPLS website, and the like.

Tony Hall, chair of the physics and astronomy department:

Jetsetting across the Atlantic to London and Paris. To spend the week in 40 degree cloudy and rainy weather while at home we are about to enter in blissful 70 degree sunny weather all next week. But at least I will be in Paris!paris

Karen Hood, assistant professor of marketing:

I will be doing some grading, writing up some research, keeping a foster baby, and taking a quick trip to NYC.new york
