Three UALR Student-Athletes Honored
Three current and former UALR student-athletes were named to UALR’s Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and
Universities. Sophomore men’s basketball player Gus Leeper, senior soccer player Michelle Pittman and former UALR men’s basketball player Marlon Louzeiro honored at a reception sponsored by the Office of Student Life and Leadership Development on March 13.
A native of Austin, Texas, Leeper recently finished his sophomore season as a member of the men’s basketball team. He boasts a 4.00 GPA and is a double major in international business and finance.
Pittman is a senior member of the UALR soccer team from Albuquerque, N.M. She is majoring in accounting and sports a 3.66 cumulative GPA.
Louzeiro is a former member of the UALR men’s basketball team from San Luis, Brazil. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in speech communications.
To be nominated for this honor, undergraduates must have completed 60 hours, enrolled in at least six hours, and recorded a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or higher. Graduate students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher and must be enrolled as a degree seeking student.
