UALR’s Applied Design program will host its annual open studio event from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, in the University Plaza, Suite 300 at University and Asher Avenues.

The event will showcase student and faculty work and include items for sale in time for the holiday gift-giving season.

“We have students selling unique jewelry, ceramic cups and bowls, hand-dyed silk scarves, paintings, wood cutting boards, trays, and sculptural objects, among other items,” said Mia Phillips, associate professor of art.

Faculty and students also will be on hand to present demonstrations of their work.
