National Guard, UALR consider partnership for cyber defense
Senior National Guard officials representing more than 34 states and territories wrapped up a strategic cyber defense exercise with a tour of UALR’s Emerging Analytics Center Friday, May 2.
UALR is forging the partnership with the National Guard’s Professional Education Center to help train the Army and Air Force National Guard in cyber security.
The event was an opportunity to learn about the Guard’s unique cyber mission and role in cyber defense, while also giving the Guard more information on how to leverage existing facilities and courses available at the university.
The collaboration will enhance the learning experiences of all students in the program while simultaneously supporting Army Learning Management, according to Kathy Oliverio, academic editor and military ombudsman at UALR.
