Michael Schwartz, chair of the search committee for the dean of the new UALR College of Social Sciences and Communication, has announced that one of the finalists for the position, Eric Freedman of Queens University of Charlotte, N.C., has withdrawn as a candidate.

The other two finalists are Lisa Bond-Maupin of New Mexico State University and Phillip Bridgmon of Northeastern State University. Bond-Maupin came for her campus visit this week; Bridgmon’s campus visit concludes May 14.
